Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CoffeePalazzo (“Service”) available at coffeepalazzo.com, operated by Do Your Bit Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

CoffeePalazzo is a personalised coffee recommendation service that helps you discover coffees based on your taste preferences. The Service includes a personalised coffee recommendation engine, a coffee journal, taste profile features, product information with links to retailers, and optional premium subscription features.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. Accounts

3.1 Guest Access

You may use certain features without creating an account. Guest data is stored locally in your browser and may be lost if you clear your browser data.

3.2 Registered Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your login credentials secure, and all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at hello@coffeepalazzo.com.

3.3 Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings or by emailing hello@coffeepalazzo.com. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Free and Premium Plans

4.1 Free Plan

Includes up to 5 personalised recommendations, thumbs up/down ratings, unlimited journal entries, and taste profile sharing.

4.2 Premium Plan

A paid subscription with extended recommendations, star ratings, taste analytics, advanced filters, journal CSV export, and weekly personalised digests. Current pricing is on the Premium page. We may change pricing with 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.

4.3 Subscriptions and Billing

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe, auto-renew unless cancelled, and can be managed via the Stripe Customer Portal from your profile. No refunds for partial periods except where required by law.

4.4 Cancellation

When you cancel, you keep premium access until your billing period ends, then revert to the free plan. Your data is preserved and you can re-subscribe at any time.

4.5 Cooling-Off Period (UK/EU Consumers)

UK/EU consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period from purchase. You may request a full refund within this period by emailing hello@coffeepalazzo.com, provided you have not used premium features extensively.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display and process it to provide the Service. Shared content (Taste DNA cards, comparison links) is viewable by anyone with the link.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, attempt unauthorised access, scrape or crawl data without permission, upload malicious content, impersonate others, interfere with the Service, or reverse-engineer the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Third-Party Links and Products

The Service may include links to third-party retailers. Some may be affiliate links where we earn a commission. Affiliate relationships do not influence our recommendation algorithm. We are not responsible for third-party products, services or practices. Product information is sourced from retailers and may not always be current.

8. AI-Generated Content

Parts of the Service use Anthropic’s Claude to generate recommendation explanations. AI content is for informational purposes, should not be relied upon as expert advice, may contain inaccuracies, and is not a health or dietary assessment.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, code, branding, logos and original content are owned by Do Your Bit Limited. “CoffeePalazzo” and associated logos are trademarks of Do Your Bit Limited.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. UK/EU consumers: these limitations do not affect your statutory rights.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Do Your Bit Limited from claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. Premium subscribers will receive reasonable notice of material changes to premium features.

14. Changes to These Terms

We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. UK/EU consumers may bring proceedings in their country of residence.

16. Severability

If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy constitute the entire agreement.
